Dedicated to Women is pleased to announce that Andrew Ward, MD (Maternal-Fetal Medicine) has joined our practice and will start seeing patients August 2, 2021, in the Dover office.
Dr. Ward comes to Dedicated to Women from Bayhealth Maternal Fetal Medicine. Dr. Ward is originally from Toms River, New Jersey. The youngest of four children, he is the only member of his family to pursue a career in medicine, a goal he had from very early in childhood. He attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia PA, and residency at Christiana Care Health System, Newark DE in Obstetrics & Gynecology and attended fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia PA in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Ward feels it is imperative to provide a detailed assessment of each pregnancy and be an integral part of its ongoing management. He stresses the importance of shared decision-making between the patient and her primary obstetrical providers.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ward and his partner Lisa enjoy an active (and sometimes hectic) lifestyle of
their own, along with their four children and two golden retrievers. He enjoys reading, drinking coffee,
music, and skiing.
